יְהוֹנָתָן(Yehonathan)The Word Yeho(יהו) means God and Natan(נָתָן) to give. The etymology of his name is 'God has given'
Yonathan's name was found written as Yehonathan after his attachment to David Ha Melech. The attachment between David and Jonathan is something what the Bible calls Chibur חִבּוּר (linking - tying together), a spiritual closeness and is something we do not know how to achieve in today's complex world.This concept of Chibur is about perfect relationships, the result of which is sinlessness, for all sin is bad relationships.Saul the father of Yonathan disliked David because he was not able to understand Chibur and did not practise Chibur in the biblical way (1Samuel 19:1).
Chibur is required to be able to sit and partake of the Passover meal in one house and in one heart and one mind, in our faith unless we understand chibur we should not partake of the table of the Lord. David refused to come to the feast of the new Moon because he knew he would be killed - the opposite of chibur was practised on the Dining table of King Saul
