Birthdays and Divine Light

1 John 1:5

This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

While returning home from work, I was reflecting on the practice of blowing out candles on birthday cakes. It's not good. In John 1:5 it clearly says that God is light. We light the candles and then blow out the light(God) that would have illuminated our lives. We need to keep this light burning and not let it go out.

Each new year that we enter into, we grow spiritually stronger and physically too. We want to celebrate life, not to put it out. Let us see God enlightening our body &  we'll continually glow!! This would be such a great experience.

Let us try to enrich our lives with Divine light;   Proverbs 20:27(KJV) says *"The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly."*

Our birthdays should be filled with lighting our lives with Joy depicted by the candles, rather than blowing it out into darkness.

Dear friend's (readers), fill your lives and words with Divine Light

Keziah(קְצִיעָה)

*(Pearls) פנינים*
Keziah(קְצִיעָה)

 קצי   Means my end
It means God has put an end to all my difficulties. Job named his second daughter  Keziah. Keziah also means sweet-scented.

Keziah(קְצִיעָה) produces a leaf that is used for inner cleansing.  The branches of the cassia herb retain moisture and must be planted in a swampy area near the banks of a river in order to survive. This signifies that we can’t survive without God's Ruach Ha Qodesh.

Jobs three daughters were very beautiful women.
Keziah would have been a sweet smelling aroma to the family, so Job named her Keziah. I was influenced by a respected Senior Man of God whose grandchild's name is Keziah.

Yosef(יוֹסֵף)

Yosef(יוֹסֵף)

The meaning of the name Yosef is "Ingathering." Its root comes from the root word Yasaf ( יָסַף) meaning 'gather'. Despite being a young man forcefully disconnected from his family and culture, he still remained true to his jewish essence. His ability to interpret dreams came from a place of Godly wisdom and from the understanding of his environment. Each situation he faced was applied in the interpretation of those dreams. It was due to this that the Pharaoh elevated him to the position of second in command. All his life he was responsible for grains and souls that came to him for food and nourishment. Pharaoh's dream of the 7 cows, gaunt and sicky, swallowing up the healthy cows was a reflection of his life (Rachel & Leah), and when he realized that his reign as a king was intertwined with the life of Yosef, he elevated him to great heights and made him a Son.During the famine, he brought great wealth to Pharaoh's house (Genesis 47:14) and also reconciled with his brothers. He gathered everyone from Canan, brought them to Egypt, and gave them a place to settle down. When the Israelites came out of Egypt, they took Joseph's bones and buried him in Shechem in Israel.

Yosef's entire life is about Ingathering. In fact, there is another Biblical feast connected to Ingathering called Chag Ha Asif (Tabernacles) when the great ingathering will take place. Yosef is rightfully called the Suffering Messiah because the children of Israel merited it instead of King, Messiah David.

Yeshua's father was  Yosef, but we don't know much about him as it is not mentioned in the Bible. He is likely to have been a gatherer as his name suggests.

יְהוֹנָתָן(Yehonathan)

יְהוֹנָתָן(Yehonathan)
The Word Yeho(יהו) means God and Natan(נָתָן) to give. The etymology of his name is 'God has given'

Yonathan's name was found written as Yehonathan after his attachment to David Ha Melech. The attachment between David and Jonathan is something what the Bible calls Chibur חִבּוּר (linking - tying together), a spiritual closeness and is something we do not know how to achieve in today's complex world. This concept of Chibur is about perfect relationships, the result of which is sinlessness, for all sin is bad relationships.Saul the father of Yonathan disliked David because he was not able to understand Chibur and did not practise Chibur in the biblical way (1Samuel 19:1).

Chibur is required to be able to sit and partake of the Passover meal in one house and in one heart and one mind, in our faith unless we understand chibur we should not partake of the table of the Lord. David refused to come to the feast of the new Moon because he knew he would be killed - the opposite of chibur was practised on the Dining table of King Saul

YITZCHAK (יִצְחָק)

*(Pearls) פנינים*
YITZCHAK (יִצְחָק)

The word Tz'chak(צְחַק) in hebrew denotes laughter. ('י') the Yod is a prefix denoting a future tense of the word 'laughter'. Thus, from the etymology of his name, one can derive YITZCHAK (יִצְחָק) to mean 'will laugh'

It is when God promised Sarah a fruit of the womb that she had laughed (Genesis 18:12). We see Abraham too laughed in (Génesis 17:17).

Akeidat Yitzchak (עקידת יִצְחַק)“The Binding of Isaac”. We see that Yitzchak was nearly 35 years of age yet he was willing to sacrifice his life for the will of God. He was obedient to his father and never once rebelled.

Yitzchak reopened the wells of his father Avraham (Genesis 26:18-25) spiritually signifying his capabilities of being a water provider (water of Life)

Yitzchak was honoured to be the 2nd Patriarch of Israel and the son of promise in which he established the land for the Yehudim  that is why he was asked to never leave the land. In the end the Yehudim will overcome all with Laughter

Rebecca (Rivkah רִבְקָה)

*(Pearls) פנינים*
Rebecca (Rivkah רִבְקָה)

Rivkah(רִבְקָה) means increasing in strength and Hope

The etymology of her name can be derived from the root word Rava( רָבָה ר-ב-ה)which means increase/more and from
Kiva(קִוָּה ק - ו - ה) meaning to hope or to gather in strength.

Eliezar was given the responsibility to find a suitable bride for Yitzchak ( כד:יב-יד בְּרֵאשִׁית‎Genesis 24:12–14). Rivkah embodied kindness which was seen by Eliezer when she gave him water to drink and to his camels.

Her struggle in her womb denotes strength and increase of a people, a hope built on the promise of God to her although there would be a bitter tussle right to the end(כו:כג בְּרֵאשִׁית‎Génesis 25:23).

Rivkah who foresaw through Ya'akov a formation of a new nation of hope and in strength of the Lord that would finally rectify the world, became the mother of the Jewish Nation. Her manipulation of the blessings seemed awfully wicked, but God turned it around.

It was the blessings she received from her family in ( כד:ס ‎בְּרֵאשִׁיתGenesis 24:60) which paved her way to become one of the founding mothers of the nation of Israel.

Sarah(שָׂרָה)

(Pearls) פנינים

Sarah(שָׂרָה)

The name given by her parents was Sarai(שָׂרָי) as a nickname rooted in the word
Sar(שָׂר) meaning Princess. The 'Ai' denotes "My"; therefore, altering her name to mean 'My Princess'. Her actual name is Iscah and her sister was milchah. She was an extremely beautiful woman. Wherever she went, those in power were enamored of her beauty and piety. Keep in mind that besides physical beauty, she also had a charisma of grace that showed as a pious and a modest woman thereby making her an attractive woman.

The Bible narrates 2 incidents describing how beautiful she was.
*During the famine Avram & his family went down to Egypt, the Pharaoh being enamored with how beautiful she was nearly commited a sin Gen 12:14-16 ( בְּרֵאשִׁית יה :יד-יו). During this time she was 65

*The second instant was in Gen 20:2-8 (בְּרֵאשִׁית כ:ב-ח) when King Abimelech of Gerar brought Sarai to his palace. During this time she was 90. She had God's gift of piety and grace in her.

Genesis 17:15 God inserted his name letter 'Hey'(ה) in her name in the place of Yod(י) to be called Princess of nation

Sarah was obedient and subjected to her husband, and in her own right she was also considered a prophetess. She ran the tent of Avraham as her own and even cooked a meal for the Angels who visited the tent regularly. Shimon Kefa (Peter) too praised her in 1 Peter 3:6. (א פֵטרוֹס ג:ו)

Isaiah the Prophet (Yesha'yahu HaNavi הַנָבִיא יְשַׁעְיָהוּ‎)

(Pearls) פנינים

Isaiah the Prophet (Yesha'yahu HaNavi הַנָבִיא יְשַׁעְיָהוּ‎)

Yesha (יְשַׁעְ) meaning Salvation or Save

Yah (יָה‎) means God

‘oo’(וּ) means Ours

Isaiah (Yesha'yahu יְשַׁעְיָהוּ‎) means God is our salvation

In Sefer(book) Yesha'yahu, we are introduced to the person of Yeshua coming to the world
(Yesha'yahu 40:3–5 יְשַׁעְיָהוּ מ:ג-ה).

He will proclaim the good news(Yesha'yahu 61:1 יְשַׁעְיָהוּ סא:א).
Proclaimed also His death (Isaiah 52:13–53:12 יְשַׁעְיָהוּ נבּ:יג– נג:יבּ) and his return (Yesha'yahu 60:2–3 יְשַׁעְיָהוּ ס:בּ-ג)

This Sefer reveals the salvation plan for mankind, and so apt for a prophet named accordingly.

In Luke 4: 17-19 (לוּקָס יז-יט) Yeshua read in the Synagogue on Shabbat from the scroll of Yesha'yahu 61:1-2 (יְשַׁעְיָהוּ סא א-בּ).

We also see all His prophecies fulfilled in B’rith Chadasha (New testament)

Each prophet(Navi) had a role and a name and most of them were Kohanim(Priests), and this one(which one, who? If it's Isaiah, better to say his name) was special and foremost.....

Yehochanan (יְהוֹחָנָן) Ha Matbil John the Immerser

Yehochanan  (יְהוֹחָנָן) Ha Matbil
John the Immerser

The Angel (Malakh מַלְאַךְ) asked Zechariah to name his Son Yehochanan (יְהוֹחָנָן).

The first two letter of his name represent God Yah יה
Vav(ו) means Connector. Chen(חן) means Grace. Nun Sofit at the end denotes becoming Straight (Yashar יָשָׁר) from being bent earlier.

(Yashar יָשָׁר) with God(אל) from where we get the word Israel(ישראל).

His role is spelled out in his name, meaning to be a connector to help everyone be in the right standing (straight Yashar יָשָׁר) with God. This is so that the way to accept the Mashiach is prepared thereby becoming Israel (someone who is straight with God)

Yesha'yahu 40:3 (יְשַׁעְיָהוּ מ:ג) and it says ‘a voice of one calling: in the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God’.

He was sent before Yeshua Ha'Mashiach to prepare the way and to make the path straight.

His role was very crucial in preparing the people to be back to the Torah of God which was given to Moses.
